As 2024 comes to an end, I like to reflect on the year that has been so unforgettable, no matter how big or small the accomplishments. It has come with its stresses, doubts, and frustrations but also its rewards, memories, and celebrations. For 2024 I decided to be confident, and it was a complete game changer. I believe I was to grow and achieve so much through this mindset. I am unsure what my resolution for 2025 will be yet, but I’m not in any rush to figure it out.
Some quick updates for 2025:
–The Poet and The Magician paperback will be available within the first week or so of January for both Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
-My first book signing will be on January 25 at the Crosswicks Library located in Crosswicks, NJ.
– My first writer’s panel attendance will be at Cape Con on April 5 at the Cape May Court House Library in Cape May Court House, NJ.
-I’ll be writing and at least beginning to edit Aoh Part 2! An official release date probably won’t be until 2026.
-Stickers are a work in progress!
I will keep everyone posted with more details on here and my social media accounts, which are Facebook: Books and Poetry by Jennifer Renson and Instagram: @jenny.renson. I will add that I am aiming for 3,000 followers on Instagram by the end of 2025 and I am aiming for a movie red carpet premiere invite for The Mandalorian and Grogu film in 2026 (I know, pie in the sky at this point but I want to attend in the worst way. If anyone knows how I can get invited, please let me know). As always, a huge shout out and thank you to all of you for your continued support!
I truly wouldn’t be this far without you. The book reviews, shares, reads, interactions, support, and overall positive words have kept me going and want to continue pursuing my dreams. I cannot believe I am finally able to accomplish what I always dreamed of doing since I was a kid. Three books released with so many more to go and I feel like it’s all just beginning to come together. Thank you, truly for everything and I hope your 2025 is amazing in every sense of the word.
Lastly, I wanted to end my last post of 2024 with this quote from The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. If you know, you know. The film is equally hilarious and heartfelt, and I often think of this quote when I get stuck in my head, worried and stressed about not being where I want to be with my books/writing career/goals wise. Although the quote is directed at Nic Cage, Pedro Pascal speaks with such heart and truth that it resonated with me in ways I didn’t expect.
“Whether you like it or not, you have a gift. And that gift brings light and joy to an increasingly dark and broken world. To turn your back on that gift is to turn your back on the entire human race.” – The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
